OSCAR

This afternoon (Indonesian time) I got the news that my all time favourite designer, Oscar de la Renta (82) has passed away.    I received the news from my cousin and immediately I was sent to a state of shock, we lost a genius today and a very special man.

I have always had something that I love about him, and that is by the way he makes such beautiful and exquisite gowns that makes the woman who wears it feel beautiful and extremely special too. Every single piece was just as beautiful as the last one, he makes dresses that women would love to wear and I would describe his gowns by classic with a modern twist, and he also have his ways with colours, every colour he chose is just so beautiful, the shades and all. With all the beautiful pieces he had created it is not hard to want every dresses he made, and it is one of my goals in life to own one of his gowns, it would definitely be a dream come true.

He will certainly be missed and may his legacy lives on ❤

RIP Oscar de la Renta

STOMP!

stomp-logo

Last night, stomp was just so freaking incredible! It was everything a performance should be lively  and extremely engaging.

I thought it was just so cool that they made these amazing sounds from some simple things. Even though there was no dialogue but they still manage to make us feel a part of the show.

They are so talented and dedicated to what they do and it shows on stage! They are nothing short of amazing:)

Tonight was definitely a night to remember and I will cherish forever and if you didn’t catch their performance you can check them out on youtube!

Thank you ismaya live for bringing Stomp! to Indonesia.

SORRY FOR THE LACK OF PHOTOS, THEY WOULDN’T ALLOW US TO TAKE PICTURES 😦

At the age of 15, I have to say that I am still indecisive about my style, I’m young and I still want to experiment on new trends and styles. But I don’t want to be the girl who doesn’t know her style for forever.

I found this book while I was going out with my family, and when I saw it I instantly knew that I would love it. It’s a light read, and filled with gorgeous and colourful illustrations. This book is basically about how, Andrea Linett, the author of the book and also the cofounder of Lucky magazine, found her style. She told the readers how strangers and her friends style shaped hers.

Each page is filled with how she felt inspired by what others are wearing, and that is what I love about this book, because that’s what I do all the time. I open fashion blogs, magazines or even take inspirations from my friends and strangers outfits that I like.

I totally recommend this book, it’s definitely one of those books that you just pick up when you have some time off to relax!

If you’ve read this book, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

This is my first time in Prague, and I am utterly in love with this beautiful city. With all the marvellous buildings, amazing food and great shopping spots, this city has definitely won over my heart..

There is always something to do in Prague, and you’ll never get bored. I could walk aimlessly in Prague for hours and always find something fascinating to do in every corner of this city. It is no wonder why this city is swarmed by tourists from all over the world, I think its because they all want to witness the beauty that this city held.

I wish I could stay a bit longer, but another adventure is waiting for me in Paris.

See you soon Prague, I will definitely come back.

PLZEN

This summer I went to Czech Republic to perform in a few folklore festival with Warna Indonesia performing Indonesia’s traditional dances. We kick started our journey in Plzen, a town located 90 km from the capital city, Prague. When we arrived the weather was beautiful, and I thought that I brought the perfect clothes. Oh how wrong was I, cause when I had breakfast the next morning it was FREEZING! 9 DEGREES CELSIUS! I was horrified because I didn’t expect it to be that cold and I only packed tanktops and leggings. I only brought 1 hoodie with me so yeah… wardrobe malfunction happening right there.

Well on to a better note, I had so much fun here. Met a lot of new friends from many different countries (read about Warna Indonesia & and the Festivals, here: ….) who were joining us in the festivals. There are many other countries joining us, there are the group from Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland. They were all really nice and friendly, we got the chance to know them and add them on Facebook. And because we all share a hotel, we got to throw after parties in the lobby, we danced and sang all night long (thank god there were no other guests in the hotel) 😀

Because I spent most of my time performing I didn’t get many chance to explore this amazing city and I hope that I could come back soon and see more of what Plzen have for me.

WANDERLUST

Bali has always been a place for me to relax and just have fun with my friends and family. I like to visit Bali at least once a year, or even more. And every time I visit I try to do something new and visit new places, this year I decided to go to Nusa Lembongan, which is an island just over an hour away from Sanur, Bali. It is truly a beautiful island, especially its serene environment just makes you so relaxed. I also visited a local market place where they sell cute souvenirs, and of course I just had to visit Ubud! I can never leave Bali without visiting Ubud.. Its definitely a place where I shop the most 😀 I could spent an entire day walking from the monkey forest up to pasar Ubud, and continue to find a nice café to rest.

Can’t wait to visit Bali again next year!! Maybe I’ll try surfing..
