For years I have tried to be healthy, but my lifestyle really makes it challenging for me because having to prepare everything for a healthy meal is really time consuming and I am either too busy or just simply too lazy. But not long ago I have found all the answers to my prayers, DINI HARI, a brand that sells overnight oats with various different flavours. I am ashamed to admit that I am very picky with the things I eat, and I like only a little variation of fruits and vegetables. With Dini Hari overnight oats I can eat healthy, and it is very practical for me to eat in the car when I am rushing to go to school. Another perk of ordering from Dini Hari is that they deliver to your front door if you live in the JaBoDeTaBek area. With many different flavors to choose from, my favourite is the chocolate banana.

Dini Hari is THE healthy food for anyone who wants to start eating healthy but just doesn’t want to give it all up yet. So give it a try, you can buy their products online or even in       Kem Chicks, and tell me what you think about it.

Lately, Selena Gomez has been a favourite of mine. The newly crowned “instagram queen” is just doing all the right things to gain more support and love from her fans. A year ago things were different for her, people shamed her for gaining weight even though she was going through treatment for Lupus. But now with her on-going Revival Tour she is shutting up the haters. She looks so much healthier and has a very positive body image about herself. From the informations that I have gathered from the internet, many sources said that she didn’t go on a crazy diet, but she ate junk foods moderately, trying out different exercises, and eating lots of wholesome foods.Selena really showed me how other peoples’ comments do not matter, and if you want to prove something, do it for yourself and not for other people.

For me this is really important, because being a teenager I get really worried about the smallest things, such as, my weight and how my body looks.  Not long ago, all I cared was how skinny I looked and what it says on the scale while eating nothing but junk food. But now I understand that it is not the numbers that defines me, but it’s the way I treat my body that does. I guess you could say this is one of the many phases in life, where I try to be healthy, but I really hope that I can keep doing this in the long run. Wish me luck guyss!

Being a full-time high school student forces me to have a boring everyday routine, who is stuck with a monotonous schedule of waking up early, leave for school, after-school lessons, going home, doing my home works, sleep and repeat. But at the same time I am also stuck in a perpetual daydream and a never-ending desire of wanderlust.

I would love to travel the world and do spontaneous things that make me feel alive, of course I still have to finish school, graduate from university and all that jazz, but with all the stress that life is giving me it is nice to have a little reprieve by imagining myself relaxing under the sun in the South of France or maybe in Santorini, Greece.

So, even though I am still stuck in school, here are some of the places I want to visit the most, both near and far. I hope you guys can enjoy the views as much as I did.

2015 has been a major whirlwind, everything just went by so fast and here we are now welcoming the new year, 2016. It has been a while since I have last written any blog post because I have not only been busy with the normal things, like school work, exams, etc. But I have also been extra-lazy too, filling my days binge watching tv series and movies, so I am very sorry if my writing is a little rusty now. But one of my new year’s resolution is to try to write more consistently on my blog, which is at least two blog posts a month. I know that it is going to be hard for me in the first few months but I really want to try to make it happen. I am going to post about my current obsessions, trends, favourites, etc. and also a few personal posts like this one. So let this be a fresh start for me to be more active on my blog and do more productive things in my life.

So, I know that it has been a while since I have written anything on this blog. I am really sorry that I haven’t been posting as much as I want to but life in general has been a tad bit overwhelming.. School has been taking up most of my time, but with all the international exams and the mid-terms behind me I can now finally start blogging again. Since I’ve just wrapped up my mid-terms examinations, that could only mean one thing, and one thing only which is, MID TERM BREAK! A week long holiday, free of all the stress that has burdened me.. So me and a couple of friends decided to go to Market & Museum: Surprise Kitchen, which is basically an outdoor food festival in Gandaria City. It was really nice because the atmosphere was really fun and nothing really beats good food and good people. This post is just gonna be filled with food pictures, because that was all we did.. I would also like to apologize for the lack of pictures because the heat was just too much for us that we had to cool down at the lobby! btw thanks to mbak icha who took most of the pictures!

Hope you guys enjoy this post and I will try to write more and post it here!

This afternoon (Indonesian time) I got the news that my all time favourite designer, Oscar de la Renta (82) has passed away.    I received the news from my cousin and immediately I was sent to a state of shock, we lost a genius today and a very special man.

I have always had something that I love about him, and that is by the way he makes such beautiful and exquisite gowns that makes the woman who wears it feel beautiful and extremely special too. Every single piece was just as beautiful as the last one, he makes dresses that women would love to wear and I would describe his gowns by classic with a modern twist, and he also have his ways with colours, every colour he chose is just so beautiful, the shades and all. With all the beautiful pieces he had created it is not hard to want every dresses he made, and it is one of my goals in life to own one of his gowns, it would definitely be a dream come true.

He will certainly be missed and may his legacy lives on ❤

RIP Oscar de la Renta

Last night, stomp was just so freaking incredible! It was everything a performance should be lively  and extremely engaging.

I thought it was just so cool that they made these amazing sounds from some simple things. Even though there was no dialogue but they still manage to make us feel a part of the show.

They are so talented and dedicated to what they do and it shows on stage! They are nothing short of amazing:)

Tonight was definitely a night to remember and I will cherish forever and if you didn’t catch their performance you can check them out on youtube!

Thank you ismaya live for bringing Stomp! to Indonesia.

At the age of 15, I have to say that I am still indecisive about my style, I’m young and I still want to experiment on new trends and styles. But I don’t want to be the girl who doesn’t know her style for forever.

I found this book while I was going out with my family, and when I saw it I instantly knew that I would love it. It’s a light read, and filled with gorgeous and colourful illustrations. This book is basically about how, Andrea Linett, the author of the book and also the cofounder of Lucky magazine, found her style. She told the readers how strangers and her friends style shaped hers.

Each page is filled with how she felt inspired by what others are wearing, and that is what I love about this book, because that’s what I do all the time. I open fashion blogs, magazines or even take inspirations from my friends and strangers outfits that I like.

I totally recommend this book, it’s definitely one of those books that you just pick up when you have some time off to relax!

If you’ve read this book, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

This is probably the most nerve wrecking thing I have ever done, MY FIRST OUTFIT POST! AAAA!!

This was taken a few weeks ago when I had a mini vacation and I thought, why not have a photo shoot too. This outfit is definitely very casual and comfy, but not sloppy, which I love. I always believe that comfort should come first, because when you’re comfortable in the clothes you’re wearing, you’re going to feel fabulous. I want you all to know that I adore ripped jeans, cause they make a formal look more casual and because I love it so much that the jeans on my current wishlist are all ripped!

So thats all for today, I’m sorry I haven’t been writing a lot lately, I have been busy with school and life in general 😦 I’m going to try to post more things here on the blog!

This summer I decided to do something different, something I have never imagined myself doing in a million years. I decided to learn traditional Indonesian dance, for you it might not be a shock but to my close friends and family it was a BIG shock because I am absolutely hopeless at dancing. I decided to join Warna Indonesia, where we would be attending 2 folklore festival in Czech Republic, one was held in Plzen while the other in Lazne Belohrad.

I honestly don’t know what to expect when I signed up for this, so I just went with the flow. Thankfully I wasn’t the only one, I have 4 of my closest classmate, Shabby, Taya, Tata, Kyana and 2 friends whom I just met in Warna Indonesia, Falya & Sasha, joining me on this adventure. We practiced every Sunday for 5 months, and the whole team, all 25 of us became really close.

5 months flew away so fast that it was finally time to leave Jakarta and head to Czech Republic. We went to Plzen first and stayed there for over a week, it was tiring but after each show you feel rewarded just by seeing how people look so happy after your performance.

In Plzen we weren’t the only country that is joining the festival, we were joined by the other groups from Poland, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia and some of the dance group from other parts of Czech Republic, they were all very fun to be around and all around, really friendly people.

We continued our journey to Prague where we had a much needed break for 3 days. There we went sightseeing, shopping and had tons of fun. But then, it was back to business when we all headed to Lazne Belohrad. It’s a small town, but it was a lovely place and the people there are just so welcoming and nice that you just don’t want to leave. Did I mention that I had the best pizza I have ever eaten here, in Pizza Flora, a small pizza restaurant in Lazne. I have never been to Italy so I don’t really have something to compare it to.

I enjoyed this trip so much, that I already miss it. I miss singing Indonesian songs with the group in the bus and trains, pulling pranks on each other, singing dangdut in the middle of the night and all that stuff. I am forever grateful to be surrounded by amazing people for two and a half-weeks and it is something that I would cherish forever.

I love being apart of the Warna Indonesia team, and to say we went through lots of things would be an understatement, I just would like to thank the Warna Indonesia team for all the memories, it was all very memorable and definitely something that I will never forget. It felt like I now have another family that I love with all my heart. There was honestly no part of this trip where I felt sad or lonely, because we laugh a lot and I will never ever regret joining Warna Indonesia.

By the end of this trip I have learned lots of things not just how to dance, or how to apply make-up and how to play music but I learned how to be independent and selfless and just the experience of the whole trip is just priceless.

I hope I can join again next year!
